As the schedule of President of India Mr Pranab Mukerjee changed there is change in schedule of celebration of September 1st 2nd and 3rd event of Centenary celebration of Indian cinema by South Indian cinema industry.

We spoke to KFCC President B Vijayakumar when he had come to audio release event of ‘Dilwala’ on Thursday night.

·         Change in President Schedule deferred the holding of the mega event to September 22, 23 and 24.

·         From 19th to 25 – totally seven days there will be halt of cinema activities.

·         We have left to each department to pick 3 personalities to make it 50 to get honor on second day of the event.

·         On the grand final day President of India will honor five each from South Indian cinema industry.

·         Earlier it was thought to honor only 25 from each industry but meetings made it 50 from each cinema industry.

·         Now 50 is also not enough. In case the number increases. KFCC would bear the extra expenditure but not leave the right persons for honor.

·         Ramesh Aravind, S Narayan, MS Ramesh are looking after the cultural activities for two hours on the second day and on the grand final day.

·         As of now 400 from each cinema industry will be visiting Chennai.

·         Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has announced availability of all government guest houses for using for hospitality of guests who come to Chennai.
